MiKTeX is a free distribution of the TeX/LaTeX typesetting system and it contains a set of related tools to create documents in the TeX/LaTeX markup language, as well as a simple TeX editor: TeXworks. Installed on your PC (MS Windows, Mac and some Linux distributions) it allows you to create scientific articles, books and other professionally-looking text documents.
